If possible to retcon his assignment to a nameless NPC, he succeeded. If not, he killed one or two kidnappers instead. In either case, he "learnt" from his first punishment and tore them apart without any transfiguration.
We suggest that you reach out to talk to the player about clearing up some misconceptions that we see in this comment. It seems like you're referring to your RNG partner having plans for their character to be kidnapped; if so, while that was an option provided if people wanted to opt-out, it wasn't exclusively for opt-out—it was also an option many players took if they did not want their character to die.
While we're fine on our end with the possibility of a retcon, you would need to discuss that with your RNG partner as well before reporting it to us. If that poses an issue because you have a complaint about how communication was conducted about plotting, you should bring it to mod contact so we can discuss privately.
Should've specified this was after I checked in with the player and the NPC doing the kidnapping was already spoken for in a different thread. So without that as a guaranteed interruption, I'd opted for not being able to find him. No issue with the player, just didn't want to throw a bigger wall of text here than I already had!
Have you checked in with the player about your desire to retcon Mahito being assigned that character's name? That's what we're asking you to sort out plot-wise with them directly, because it would also mean they would need to handwave a retcon of who had their character's name.
